SINCE 2016 STUDYING THE ROLE OF NITROGEN IN PORTUGAL.

We study the role of nitrogen in agriculture and environment in Portugal.

We propose solutions to reduce pollution caused by excess nitrogen in the environment.

We mapped areas of Portugal with higher nitrogen pollution in the water,

in the air and in ecosystems.

We have identified the protected and vulnerable areas with the highest risk of nitrogen pollution.

The NitroPortugal project maintains public reflection on the two sides of nitrogen:

(builds amino acids, proteins and DNA)

* The consequences of excess nitrogen in the environment!

To seek for solutions for inefficiencies in the entire chain associated with the sector.

Create an agricultural production with a low nitrogen footprint.
